Una settimana fa ho avuto il piacere di assistere ad una mostra a dir poco meravigliosa . Si tratta della mostra "L'essenza del cuoio" ad opera della casa di moda francese Hermès, tenutasi a Roma, precisamente al Chiostro del Bramante.
L' esposizione allestita,era interamente dedicata alla pregiata lavorazione del cuoio ,che viene lavorato dalla maison da ben cinque generazioni.
Tale mostra,dunque, assolutamente ben organizzata da Alexandra Plat, ci accompagna verso un'incantevole viaggio alla scoperta dell'antica e tradizionale lavorazione del cuoio, attraverso creazioni ed accessori che hanno fatto di Hermès una delle maison parigine più celebri e degne di nota .
Inizio ,dunque, il mio tour alla scoperta della moda parigina, ed ecco che i miei occhi rimangano incantati ed estasiati dinanzi a una splendida esposizione di KELLY, la storica borsa in cuoio con cui Grace Kelly si fece fotografare per la copertina della rivista LIFE, e di BIRKIN, la costosissima borsa realizzata appositamente per l'attrice inglese Jane Birkin.
Ma il viaggio continua, e questa volta mi soffermo presso la sezione interamente dedicata ai viaggi, attraverso la magnifica esposizione di valigie dalle molteplici forme e colori.
L'ultima tappa del tour,invece, ha dato pieno risalto al mondo dei cavalli,che ancora oggi è fonte d'ispirazione per le creazioni di Hermès, esponendo abiti ed accessori tipici dell'equitazione.

Beginning, then, my discovery tour of the Parisian fashion , my eyes remain enchanted and awe before a stunning display of KELLY, the historic leather bag in which Grace Kelly had himself photographed for the cover of LIFE magazine, and BIRKIN, the expensive bag made specifically for the English actress Jane Birkin.
But the journey continues, and this time I stop at the section dedicated to travel, through the magnificent display of suitcases from the many shapes and colors.
The last step of the tour, however, gave full prominence to the world of horses, that still is a source of inspiration for the creations of Hermes, exhibiting typical equestrian clothing and accessories .
